Cultural Events

A special event dedicated to the diverse yet harmoniously blended Chinese culture. Attendants were given the unique opportunity to participate in chinese calligraphy & tea-tasting workshops, to enjoy a beautiful art exhibition, to enhance their knowledge of the profound chinese history and customs.

On Friday November 9th Hong Long participated in an intriguing cultural event that took place at Stavros Niarchos Foundation.
The events consisted of two parts:
Part one: Workshops
i) Yang Liping: Traditional Chinese Kite Works
ii)Chinese Paper Cutting by Xing Xian
iii) Beijing Embroidery by Shifu Sun Ying
iv)Painted Facial Make up of Peking Opera by Lin Hong Kui.

Part one: Cultural Performance

We were given the unique opportunity to watch an amazing dance, martial arts and music performance that made us speechless!

On Sunday October 21st Hong Long visited the Acropolis Museum and had a fresh look at the temporary exhibition “From the forbidden city: imperial apartments of Qianlong”. The exhibition boasted 154 exquisite works of art, ceremonial robes, furniture and functional objects from the Emperor’s private apartments in the Palace of Many Splendors (Chonghua Gong) where, as he himself wrote, he spent his youth and drew inspiration for his subsequent plans for the successful management of his vast country.

On Saturday May 26th Hong Long hosted its’ annual kid’s school performance at Wabi Sabi restaurant.

On Sunday April 29th Hong Long visited the Herakleidon Museum and enjoyed of the temporary exhibition “Ancient Chinese Science and Technology”of the China Museum of Science and Technology in Beijing.

In view of the Chinese New Year, Hong Long’s students and teachers cooked and tasted traditional Chinese dumplings.

Hong Long hosted a wonderful dinner at Asian Taste Restaurant so as to celebrate the coming Chinese New Year.
